By accessing or using Speak1000 ("the Service"), operated by Speak1000 ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Speak1000 is an AI-powered language learning platform that teaches Mandarin Chinese through a concept-unlock methodology, bilingual podcasts, interactive transcripts, and structured syllabus. The Service is available via web browser and may be expanded to additional platforms.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information;
• Maintain the security of your account credentials;
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account;
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Speak1000 offers free and paid subscription tiers. When you purchase a paid subscription:

• Payment is processed through our payment partner, Paddle;
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date;
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support;
• Refunds are handled in accordance with Paddle's refund policy and applicable law;
• Lifetime access purchases are a one-time payment and are non-recurring.

5. Free Trial

If a free trial is offered, you will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription, and you will be charged the applicable fee.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on Speak1000, including but not limited to text, audio, graphics, syllabus structure, podcast episodes, exercises, and software, are the intellectual property of Speak1000 and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose;
• Share your account credentials or allow others to access your account;
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service;
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract content;
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Speak1000 shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, regardless of cause, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
